Not long after the death of Otumfo) Opokuware ІІ, in the Okuapeman Kingdom, there were contemplations on who should succeed.  The elders of the Kingdom, Opanyin Botwe and Agya Augustine’s finally drew the conclusion that Nana Yaw Aquinas should be the next king. He is married to   Naa Adole Agiss who hails from Accra. They have been married for over 50 years and have a son called Pope Johns who is now spending his vacation holidays at his aunts place in Krobo Odumasi. About two months have passed since the enstoolment of Nana Yaw Aquinas and his governance has been very good. The Presbyterian mission decided to seek permission from the King in order to carry out missionary activities. The missionary works were going on smoothly and a lot of  lost souls were won  for Jesus Christ. The King, Nana Yaw Aquinas who has a catholic background decided to call his long time best friend who is a catholic priest in the person of Bishop Augustine Herman who had his diocese in Ho. The Bishop honorably honored the invitation . He came along with sisters from the Holy Child society. Within a period of 10 years both missionary teams have planted several churches and built many schools ,health centers and various recreational centers.  Surprisingly, the Wesleyan missions were also engaging in missionary works in the coastal plains of the country. They have heard of the good works of the Presbyterian and catholic missionaries and encouraged them to go the Northern sector of the country. The catholic missionaries wanted to extend their tentacles to the remotest part of the country to evangelize to people and teach them the way of life. The catholic missionaries left the churches in the care of Rev Fr Alphonse Elsbernd, Rev Fr. Lesage, Rev Fr Mcklip and Rev Fr Hotze.  Mr. Nii- Tackie Bleoo, was appointed to be in charge of the churches and be in the helm of  affairs in order to reduce the burden of the priests.
     It has been over five years since the appointment of Mr. Nii- Tackie Bleoo to be in the helm of affairs for the churches. Surprisingly, after a prolonged audit by St. Francis team, it was found out that the churches account were been squandered and no better projects were launched and as a result the dreams and visions of the missionaries before they left has not been achieved at all. The head of assessment from St. Francis team made it clear during a meeting with the church elders and various committee heads that, not even a little improvement has been added to the buildings the missionaries left. Painfully most of them are not been maintained well and also worn out structures have not been replaced. Meanwhile according to the team, ever since the missionaries left, there have been monthly supplies of funds to support the churches. Everybody was tensed and so surprised. The  head of the assessment team, Bro Benjamin Atachie made a warning that, whoever will be found guilty of squandering the church’s money will be exposed and be withdrawn from his or her portfolio. Mr Nii-Tackie bleoo,was so silent and did not say anything till the session was over. He could not believe his eyes. He could not imagine the shame and embarrassment he will go through. He thought through and through and began to fill guilty and decided to go and confess his slanderous activities to the head of the assessment team late in the night. Upon arrival at Bro Benjamin Atachie’s  temporal lodge, Bro Ben was surprised to see him at such time. Mr bleoo then began confessing how he has used the monies for his selfish interests and building houses and buying fleets of cars  in the city. Bro Atachie  was sad on hearing it and spoke lengthy to Mr. Bleoo on the dangers of such acts. Mr. Bleoo felt so sad for those actions and pleaded with Bro. Benjamin to help him give his life to Jesus Christ again.  Mr. Nii-Tackie bleoo promised to sell all those properties to promote the Kingdom of God and also pledged to constantly support missionary activities, paying TITHE offerings, supporting  church projects and anything that will propel the gospel to be preached anywhere. That was the turning point of Mr. Tackie bleoo. He never became the same after confessing his sins and giving his life to Jesus Christ again.
  Precious one, this little piece is trying to let you know that, you can be in church and not be born again. Let us not be deceived with lies of false teachers. It is time for us to work for God. It is time for us to go  to the deserted and rejected places of this world to proclaim Jesus Christ. Heaven and Hell is so real. We need to confess our sins and give our lives to Jesus Christ. He is the only way to eternal life. I want to urge you brethren not to despise the work of the ministry in whatever form. Jesus Christ is coming soon. Like Mr. Nii-Tackie bleoo, he was wealthy and also a thief in the house of God, but when he repented and realized his shortfalls, he gave up everything for the work of the ministry to promote the gospel. Do not be deceived. God is a rewarder of them that seek Him Diligently.
