COMPLACENCY; THE CAUSE OF POOR CHURCH GROWTH AND CHRISTIAN LIFE.

Hello, lovely sons and daughters in the Lord. It is with great joy and privilege to minister unto you God's word. I want to encourage you to keep strengthening  yourself in the lord in all circumstances and He will answer you. Beloved in the lord, on this glorious day, I want to share with you a message which will awaken you and I from our slumber.
Numbers 31:49. 'and they said to Moses,' Your servants have taken a count of the men of war who are under our command, and not a man of us is missing.
Isaiah 40:26. Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these things, who brings out their host,He calls them all by name,By the greatness of His might and  the strength of His power;not one is missing.
I present this piece by personal experience and observation. Some few weeks ago, I decided tour around some mega churches I have known over the years. I observed that some churches were increasing in their number while others were declining. I got to understand that, with churches of declining  attendance, it was as a result of complacency, no follow up activities on members, pride, segregation among folks(rich groups and poor groups), no care for visitors and no passion for prayers and evangelism.
It is not surprising to see a chunk of the youth with much zeal and enthusiasm for secular activities. Today, what do we see in some of the churches and denominations we once heard about. There have been reduction of members because members are not been cared for, they are not visited and they are not made to feel at home. Beloved, it is sad to see our number in church declining whiles we  wear our white garments and beautiful dresses. It is as error to be in a church which does not show love to people especially the poor, the broken hearted and only show affection to the rich and the people with influence. This message is a wake up call for you and I
The christian journey is not about competition or condemnation one's denomination. What is incumbent on you and I is to come together in oneness to build and unite the body of Christ. A lot of Christian folks are giving up and following the 'pleasures' of this world. I dare you to leave your comfort zone and reach out to the missing people we once encountered and shook hands to.
Stay blessed and tell people to remember their call of living for God and helping build His church.

Sam Elijah
