Do Not Substitute The Gospel For Your Personal Gains


     Colossians 2:8.. Beware lest any man  spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit , after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
   Beloved in the Lord, it is with great  pleasure and honor to share with you God's word. Our anchor scriptures clearly tells us how the teachings of men is gaining grounds and its being a clear substitute for the Gospel. Permit me to tell you that, with such teachings and doctrines, it is just a matter of time. They will all wither away, but the word of the Lord lives forever. Even though teachings against the Gospel is gaining grounds, it should not surprise us,  Christians especially because during the time of Jesus Christ there were false teachers, false teachings, false miracles and wonders and deceiving people just to gain attention. There is nothing wrong in teaching or preaching  on Prosperity, good health, divine breakthroughs. But it is sad, when we neglect evangelism (Soul Winning), we neglect the care of the elderly, we neglect the care of the sick and we neglect to find solution and bring comfort to people who are going through challenges both physical and spiritual.  We have neglected fasting and prayers, all nights travailing prayers and we have dubbed new names for its substitutes-- 'Supernatural miraculous encounter,  7 steps to get rich in 5 days,  strategic deliverance and so many others. I am not against healing, miracles, deliverance, prophesies, prophetic. But the challenge is that most people who are engaging in the ministerial are drifting apart and neglecting the actual gospel commanded by Jesus Christ. Go ye therefore make disciples of all nations.....
     Beloved, it is time for us to stand for the Lord. It is time for ministers to preach the unadulterated Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and stop ' pleasing" the congregation with "deep" revelations which are not helping the people spiritually. There is nothing wrong having a mega church. But what is the need if people in such gigantic feat have not given their lives to Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Let us stop unnecessary things which will not promote the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
